an update

Time for an update from us puppies over here in Seattle.  Today we went to Mommy’s school and helped her sort books.  We ran around a lot and barked at inanimate objects and forced her to work extra quickly.  That was good because we didn’t really want to be there.  It is not as much fun as being at the ocean or in the woods.  We are very smart to do things that get us in trouble and away from places we don’t like much.

Then we got new new toys because we chew our toys a lot and we don’t have many indestructible things, and that is what Mommy said we needed.  So we went to the pet store and what we wanted was this big bone with yummy meat still on it, but we couldn’t pull it out of the basket because it was bigger than our heads, and Mommy said No Puppies, you really dont need that.

So we didn’t get the big bone, but I think we should get it one day.  We are trying so hard to be on our best behavior.

We did get two new balls.  They have stretchy holes in them and one is big and one is not as big.  Let us show you some pictures of us with the balls.

STH71607That’s us, playing tug.  We love tug.

STH71610We were sharing here.  If we share for a long time, we get a good treat, like chicken or cheese.  We are trying to share here.

STH71613Sometimes it is hard to choose which ball to play with.  Even though there is one available, the best toy is really the one that she has.

In other news, we got to dig in the garden the other night, finally.  We always hear Get out of the garden dogs, Out puppies, Out!  But we got to go in it, because we made a salad with fresh lettuce from the garden.  We didn’t care much for the lettuce part, but the cheese on top was divine.  Really, is there anything better than a good chevre?

STH71606You can’t see the cheese here because it was on the side.  It was the last thing to be dribbled on top and that is why we sit underneath the countertop, waiting for the little dribbles to drop under our waiting snouts.  Then we gobble them up right away.

That is all we have to say right now.  We need to go on patrol.  Nightfall is coming, and the neighborhood cats, squirrels, birds, and other canines have started to infiltrate our territory.  Time to tell them who’s boss.  We hope you all are well.  You are welcome to visit us at anytime.  We are very fond of two legged peoples.

Love and Kisses,

Jersey and Bailey
